Matt Beard is an artist from the deep north of California, where he lives with his wife and two kids. A lifelong surfer and artist, he considers both surfing and art wonderful problems to have and stopped trying to quit either of them years ago. Lately his art most often represents a simple enjoyment of the surfing life, ranging from photo-inspired homage to his surfing heroes, to the simple beauty of a continent's collision with the deep blue sea.
